The Current Mayor of Krusevac
Ivan Manojlović, Master of Economics
Born in October, 1975, in Kruševac. Ivan grew up in a family of teachers. He is married, and father of one child.
He graduated from Grammar School in Kruševac. As for higher education, he graduated from Faculty of Budapest, and completed Master Studies in Economy at University of Novi Sad, earning the title of Master of Economics.
He started his career in 1996, as the director of a mixed Italian-Serbian company. After completing his military service, he completed the necessary professional development and diploma accreditaitons in the United States in order to, as soon as he returned, continue his business career as the marketing director of a famous manufacturing company, which was s a part of another holding companzin Kruševac.
He is a member of the Serbian Progressive Party since its founding, and was the spokerperson and the President of the Informing Council. He was a member of City Assembly from 2012 to 2015, before he went abroad where he gained enormous experience as a Director for European Operations for an American company in Switzerland. In the 2016 elections, he was elected to become a member of the National Assembly, and in the 2023 elections, he was a candidate on the „Aleksandar Vučić – Kruševac ne sme da stane“ list, which won the most votes in Kruševac. During the constitutional assembly session held in February 2024, he was proposed and elected as the Mayor of Kruševac.
He actively participates in humanitarian and philantropic events, taking initiative and realizing numerous donations, one of the most important being the donation of material resources and equipment to the General Hospital in Kruševac.

Mayor
The mayor represents the city and holds the executive position in the city. The mayor is chosen by the members of the City Assembly from their own ranks through secret voting, and the term lasts for 4 years.
The mayor has a deputy that represents the city in the moments when the mayor is unable or prevented to do so.
The candidate is suggested by the president of the Local Assembly.
The candidate for mayor suggests the candidate for the deputy position from the ranks of assembly members, chosen through the identical procedure as the mayor’s election process.
The newly-appointed mayor and deputy’s local assembly member statuses and terms terminate as soon as they are officially chosen for the positions.
The mayor and deputy mayor are available to the city, in a continuous work relation.
The mayor:
1. Represents the city;
2. Indirectly supervises the execution of official decisions and other law acts of the local assembly;
3. Suggests the ways of solving the important topics that fall under the local assembly jurisdiction;
4. Is the person in charge of the budgetary concerns;
5. Directs the work of the City Hall;
6. Passes individual acts for which they are authorized by law, the City Statute, or the decision of the local assembly
7. Helps with any other jobs and tasks that are determined by the City Statute or other City Acts.
