Born on November 4th, 1966 in Krusevac, he graduated from Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, University of Nis. His first career step was being an intern engineer at “Jastrebac” construction company in Krusevac, where he eventually became construction director and foreman. Since 2002, he has been the City Hall’s construction inspector, and head of the construction legalization group, head of the urbanism and construction department, eventually becoming the chief of energy management in 2018.

He has obtained the required professional licenses provided by the Republic of Serbia: professional exams for the construction site manager, construction inspector, responsible planner, responsible contractor, responsible engineer for energy efficiency, and city’s energy manager. He has also participated in and has been an important part of numerous domestic and foreign projects.

Married and father of two sons.

Chief Energy Manager

A person can be responsible for the energy management of a city if they have successfully passed and acquired the Energy Management Licence, issued by the Ministry of Mining and Energy. This person's task is to carry out and complete actions and other assignments issued by the Ministry of Mining and Energy that are related to the structures owned and overseen by the respective local government or Public Companies founded by the local government. The Chief Energy Manager:

• establishes and further develops the energy management system through the system's introduction,
• establishes the ISEM and SEMIS systems (Informational System of Energy Management and Energy Overview Database and Energy Management System) in the City of Krusevac,
• Analyses data concerning the system-users' energy use, and recommends and follows the realization of Energy Efficiency projects and rational energy-use measures that help in increasing energy efficiency in the public sector,
• prepares the Program and Plan of Energy Efficiency according to the Efficient Use of Energy Law,
• Recommends measures and activities that contribute to efficient use of energy,
• prepares yearly reports of energy saving milestones , according to the Efficient Use of Energy Law,
• takes necessary measures and actions in according to the law of the Government of Serbia and the responsible Ministry,
• organizes activities aimed at raising awareness  of efficient use of energy in public and private sectors through appropriate promotional and educational activities;
• prepares activities related to the Budget fund for further developing energy efficiency,
• collaborates and exchanges experienсe related to establishing a energy management system with interested parties.
