Reception of the Twin City Delegations – Liberation Day of Kruševac

19. October 2026.

In regards to the Liberation Day of Kruševac – October 14, a reception for the visiting Twin City delegations was organized, attended by the representatives of the cities of Lipetsk, Russian Federation, and Ramnicu Valcea, Romania. The Greek delegation from Stavros arrived later.

The guests were greeted by Mayor Manojlović:

“Your presence here is more than a protocole meeting. It is a confirmation of friendship, mutual respect, and cooperation built in years, and which transcend the traditional administrative borders, connecting our citizens, entrepreneurs, athletes and young people. In these challenging times, friendship among cities are invaluable. It reminds us that the development of a city does not consists solely of newly-built roads, factories or infrastructure, it consists of trust among people, experience exchange, and readiness to support each other.”

Heartfelt congratulations were expressed by the members of the Lipetsk Delegation, Lepekin Jevgenij Sergejevič and Bulgakov Andrej Vasiljevič:

“This is an opportunity to remember together the freedom fights and liberation struggle during World War II. To remember the Red Army and Yugoslav Partisan efforts to earn the freedom of our people. We respect the memory of all who gave their lives for freedom of Serbia. Their courage will forever be in our hearts. Our two cities are not only linked by the formal twinning document but by true friendship. Today, we feel the loving brotherhood. We wish to the people of Serbia peace, stability and well-being. Let the memory of our heroes help us build a future together.”

Russian delegation officially invited representatives of Kruševac to visit Lipetsk and attend the National Unity Day on November 4.

Beside the official delegation from Lipetsk, the Russian delegation also consisted of entrepreneurs from 12 Russian cities who are a part of the Entrepreneurship Association in Russia.

Alin Trandafir, a member of the Romanian delegation, also addressed the attendees:
“Liberation Day of Kruševac is a monument to bravery and sacrifice for freedom your ancestors won and weaved into the very being and hearts of your people. We are giving our all to keep the priceless peace, and remember the made sacrifices. Today, Ramnicu Valcea wishes to nurture and develop our bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, administration, culture… but above all, we wish to congratulate this day to you. We wish you plenty of health, peace, development and fulfillment of plans!”
