The Ambassador of P.R. of China in Serbia, His Excellency Li Ming, visited Kruševac on Liberation Day, on October 14, during which the Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić, Mayor of Kruševac Ivan Manojlović and the entrepreneurs of Kruševac participated in a joint meeting.

As a sign of continuing the initiated cooperation, Regional Chamber of Commerce in Kruševac hosted a second meeting in which representatives of the Chinese Embassy’s Office of Economy and Regional Chamber of Commerce of China participated. On behalf of the City of Kruševac, Mayor Ivan Manojlović and Deputy Mayor Snežana Radojković were present at the meeting.
The gathered were greeted by Mayor Manojlović who reminded that the presidents of both countries, Xi Jinping and Aleksandar Vučić, formed a steel bond between two people, adding that China was one of the most important economic partners of Serbia.
China has become the largest foreign source of direct investments in Serbia, and second largest trade partner of Serbia and the district. Chinese companies started a plethora of projects that proved to be successful, with the support of the Government of Serbia.
Kruševac, during the time of former Yugoslavia, was ranked at the top of economy rankings, has to offer a lot in the areas of economy, industry, and entrepreneurship, even in modern times.
Director of RCC in Kruševac, Maja Marković, discussed about the minute details of economic and trading cooperation.
Serbia is a home to 2000 Chinese companies with majority stake of Chinese capital. They employ more than 25000 people, and are satisfied with business conditions and oppportunities offered. More than 14000 Serbian businesses work with Chinese companies, and 400 of them hail from Rasina District – which represents a good foundation for further expansion of mutual trade and investment.
Last year’s foreign trade exchange between Rasina District and China was worth 49 million EUR, while the one from 2014 was 11 million EUR.
The presentation about the Chinese economic potentials and possibilities was held by Embassy’s Economic and Trade Advisor Bao Xunjing, Economic and Trade Atache Jong Ke, Deputy Director of “China Road and Bridge Corp.” in Serbia and General Secretary of Chiense Chamber of Commerce in Serbia Liu Wei, Deputy Manager of the Legal Department of “China Road and Bridge Corp.” Li Xiaxu, General Director of “HBIS Smederevo Iron & Steel” and Deputy President of Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Serbia Jang Jianpei, Commerce Manager and Board Member of “Power China” in Serbia Sun Jiming, President of Guangdong Province Chamber of Commerce Yang Hongbo, and Director of “HiSense Gorenje Valjevo” factory Yu Guijiang.
Entrepreneurs had the chance to scrutinize the most efficient and optimal business and cooperation models with appropriate Chinese economic sectors, with RCC acting as the middleman between.
One of the priorities of RCC is providing strong support to Rasina District businesses in both launching products and defining the necessary procedures for exporting to foreign markets.
This is a proof of an enormous potential of improving the cooperation between Serbia and China, or precisely, between the Serbian and Chinese entrepreneurs through mutual trust, joint projects and common vision that rests on sustainable development and prosperity.
After the RCC, Mayor Manojlović hosted the Chinese delegation in the Mayor’s office, along with Director Marković and her associate Aleksandra Aleksić, and President of the Rasina District Entrepreneur Parliament Žarko Antić, after which they were taken to see the one-of-a-kind Mosiac Hall of the City Hall of Kruševac.
