Following the tradition of opening new facilities for citizens, new courts for physical recreational activities were opened next to football stadium “Jedinstvo” in Kruševac.
The newly-opened children playground and basketball court are now available to everyone: children, young adults, and anyone who likes to enjoy sports and physical activities. A large crowd gathered to support the local community in their efforts to improve the quality of life in every possible segment, especially those regarding the needs of the young citizens.
The courts were formally opened by Deputy Mayor Snežana Radojković.
“I have to emphasize that we would not have gathered here today in this beautiful place if it were not for the Ministry of Family Wellfare and Demography who financially supported us. The total amount of funds that our city has been given is 9.5 million RSD, which is a part of cofinancing of Population Policies and Measures and Family and Children Support through the “Our child” project.
The next step is realizing the second phase of the project, and it is my great pleasure to announce the construction of the new sports hall “Lazar”, which will be located here, as well, and will be the centerpiece of this sports complex”.
In order to achieve remarkable sports results, support by the City is also needed next to the individual talent and hard work.
Primary goal of this project was not only to secure and improve conditions for athletes and clubs but also to affirm and further develop recreational sport activities en masse, especially with children and youth. With that in mind, there is emphasis on building outdoor gyms, sport facilities and courts, and children playgrounds.
