Serbian Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić and Slovakian Minister of Defense Robert Kaliňák visited “14. Oktobar” Company in Kruševac. During the visit, they saw the manufacturing halls and production lines, and participated in a meeting with the members of the factory management team. Chief Executive Officer Petar Miljković talked about the history, current projects, and future plans of the company with the visiting guests.
Minister Gašić thanked the management of the company on shown hospitality, stating that he expected that “14. Oktobar” would have more modern production lines for everything that had been planned by the management of the “Czechoslovak Group”.
“Today’s talks that Minister Kaliňák and I had together with our associates were mostly about connecting industries and further developing capacities and potentials that could be jointly created, and about “14. Oktobar” becoming the factory it deserves to be, after years of being in the process of slow devastation and being privatized. This factory is the one that supported and built our beautiful Kruševac. Many generations that worked in “14. Oktobar” built this city”, stated Minister Bratislav Gašić.
Slovakian Minister of Defense Robert Kaliňák thanked Minister Gašić on hospitality and constructive discussion, adding that the state the world was in, regarding the conflict in Ukraine and Gaza, showed that close cooperation between people was of great importance. Minister Kaliňák highlighted that there was space for cooperation in the field of defense industry of Serbia and Slovakia, which had been confirmed on the prevously held meeting, where the future plans of two countries had also been one of the topics.
