Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić met with the Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan General Colonel Ruslan Zhaksylykov, who was on an official visit to Serbia.
During the official meeting in Belgrade, the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for 2025 was signed between two parties.
Minister Gašić stated that Serbia was grateful for the fact that Kazakhstan supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country in each and every international institution. “Serbia is dedicated to peaceful solutions in political dialogue with Priština, in respectful accordance with Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council and Military-Technical Agreement”.
Minister Gašić has also added that cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense is very good, with an increased potential for further strengthening, especially highlighting that the two Ministries exchanged suggestions regarding the possible points of cooperation in the future, and that the signing of the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for 2025 represents the result of their shared dedication.
Another topic of the meeting was the possibility of the development of Military-Economic, Military-Military, Military-Educational, and Military-Medical cooperation, fields where Serbia has broad experience, and where both countries could find a common interest.
Minister Zhaksylykov thanked Minister Gašić for shown hospitality and the opportunity to discuss the aforementioned topics, emphasizing that there had been a mutual interest to broaden the defense cooperation and lift it to a higher level during the discussion.
Having concluded the meeting in Belgrade, the Kazakhstani Minister of Defense, and his delegation, accompanied the Serbian Minister of Defense in a visit to Kruševac. They were welcomed by Mayor Ivan Manojlović, President of City Assembly Dragana Barišić, Deputy Mayor Snežana Radojković, and Head of City Administration Vesna Anđelić. The economic branch of the City of Kruševac was represented by General Director of Trayal Corporation and President of the Employers Union Miloš Nenezić.
The Kazakhstani delegation had the opportunity to see some of the cultural and historical landmarks of the city: Church Lazarica, Mosaic Hall, and Kosovo Heroes Monument.
