On December 23, the Holiday Square event was formally opened in Kruševac. This event, held on a 2200-square-meter space, was seen as a multifunctional space, due to the newest stalls and counters that offer various products to the citizens of Kurševac. The event will run until January 20, offering everyone a rich program and a holiday atmosphere.
The event was started with the performance of the first runner-up of “Serbia in the Rhythm of Europe” competition, while Mayor Manojlović formally opened saying how glad he was that this place was the location of a new cultural – entertainment event aimed at everyone, especially the young citizens.
“New Year’s is a holiday that brings happiness and joy, and with this event, showcases, and an ice rink that will be placed, this will, hopefully, take everyone who hold this city close to their hearts, into the New Year in a most wonderful way”.
Mayor Manojlović thanked the Youth Office, PUC “Kruševac”, Sports, Business, and Cultural Centers on the successful implementation of the project. In addition to them, the implementation was assisted by PUC “Vodovod”, PC for Urbanism and Planning, Public Library…
Other participants in the program were students of “Stevan Hristić” School of Music (Đurđina Antić, Milan and Mateja Vasić, Iva Mijailović and Nikola Popović).
The event was enriched with successful young athletes and their clubs. For their cooperation with the Youth Office and healthy lifestyle promotion among the young population, the young athletes received Formal Appreciactions, handed to them by the Mayor’s Aide for Sports and Youth Nevena Plavšić.
The program finale was a performance by a famous band of the Kruševac rock scene, “Hot Dog Revolution”.
The Holiday Square will be active until January 20, and every citizen will have a chance to enjoy the holiday atmosphere.
