The Vidovdan festivities officially begun with the Flower-Laying Ceremony at the monuments in Memorial Complex “Slobodište”.
In the early morning, Mayor Ivan Manojlović and President of City Assembly Dragana Barišić, paid respect to the fallen patriots at the monuments on Slobodište, together with the representatives of the city and state institutions, local selfgovernment, Serbian Armed Forces, Rasina Administrative District, numerous veteran associations, and family members of the fallen.
After the laying of flowers, members of the clergy held a rite for the patriots who had sacrificed their lives for freedom.
Deputy Mayor Snežana Radojković and Deputy President of City Assembly Siniša Maksimović participated in the wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument to Warriors 1912 – 1918, together with veteran and other associations representatives.
On Bagdala, at the Cross monument, Mayor’s Aide Darko Andonov paid respect on behalf of the City together with the representatives of the Serbian Armed Forces.
