After the meeting with the rector, prorector, and deans of the Faculties of Niš, a second meeting was held in Kruševac where models of collaboration with the Faculty of Economy and Institute of Agricultural Economics regarding the creation of a new education models, adjusted with the needs of young people of Kruševac and Southeast Serbia. The meeting was attended by the Dean of Faculty of Economy Vladislav Marjanović, Deputy Žarko Popović, and the Director of the aforementioned Institute Jonel Subić with associates.
On behalf of the City of Kruševac, the meeting was attended by Mayor Ivan Manojlović, Advisor to the Minister of Science, Technological Advancement and Innovations Zoran Tomić, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture in Kruševac Ivan Filipović, Head of City Administration Vesna Anđelić, and Mayor’s Aide for Social Activities Snežana Aleksić.
The idea is to create a management module in agrobusiness, whose realization would be a collaboration between the University of Niš and City of Kruševac. The role of the Institute for Agricultural Economics would be to implement as much practice as possible into education. A feasible operational steps and implementation period were agreed upon.
Discussion will take place with the representatives of other faculties based in Niš whose departments are planned to be opened in Kruševac in the following period, with the aim of realizing the vision of Kruševac as an academic city center in Serbia, initiative started by the former mayor of Kruševac Bratislav Gašić.
