With the blessings of His Holiness, the Archepiscope and Metropolitan of Kruševac David, the Tourist Organization of Kruševac organized a Christmas bread breaking ceremony, in honor of Orthodox Christmas on 7th of January.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić, who donated one gold coin, Mayor Ivan Manojlović, President of City Assembly Dragana Barišić, Advisor to the Minister of Science, Technological Advancement and Innovations Zoran Tomić, director of the Tourist Organization Nikola Despotović. The other two coins were donated by the director of “Hemofluid” Jelica Đurić Petronijević and Predrag Vukićević.
The patron of the event is City of Kruševac, and the Christmas cornbread was baked by “Branko Perišić” baking company.
Archepiscope David said that everyone had to keep faith, hope, and love in hearts, and above all, peace and serenity. He concluded with wishing everyone a fruitful new year and merry Christmas, along with his associates.
After the speech the ceremony took place.
Two coins were found by a 21-year-old Sofija Babović and Maša Stojanović, age 10.
The event consisted of the Christmas songs performed by the children choir “Sveti Knez Lazar”, children who attend the Cultural Centre of Kruševac School of Diction and Acting were moderators, and members of the Army of Serbia offered warm beverage to the present people.
