As a part of the Liberation Day activities, new sports courts were opened in the staidum “Jedinstvo” area. This location now has courts for playing tennis, volleyball, futsal and handball, in addition to jogging tracks, expanding the sports capacities of the stadium “Jedinstvo”, putting Kruševac at the top of the sports infrastructure and objects it offers to its citizens in the region.
This event also consisted of a showcase of seven sports – football, handball, karate, volleyball, badminton, tennis, and taekwondo and their respective 10 sports clubs from Kruševac.
On behalf of the City of Kruševac, Deputy Mayor Snežana Radojković addressed the gathered crowd:
“The space is quickly growing into the green and modern oasis for recreation, as promised. Today, this complex is getting content meant for citizens of all ages, thanks to the support of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government. Beside the sports courts, the city has arranged the parking area, driveways, public toilets, and water management. As the crown jewel, construction of a sports complex called “Lazar Arena”, which would further develop the sports, young athletes, and lives of citizens, is in the works”.
Deputy Radojković thanked the local sports clubs and Sports Association of Serbia on the continuous cooperation and their valuable donation of sports items that they had brought for primary school students.
Sports Association of Serbia Secretary – General Goran Marinković held a speech:
“By celebrating imporant dates through sports events is an important and beautiful way of connecting generations and tradition, reminding everyone of the virtues that should be carried over to our children and young athletes. This event is a chance for the young people of Serbia to see how true values win every game. Kruševac is proving that there is a will and enthusiasm for sports development, and connecting sports orgnaizations with the creation of sports conditions that preface success. We appreciate the efforts put by the City of Kruševac to organize this event and gather these clubs, citizens, and athletes. as through these events, we successfully create solid foundations for further cooperation and success. We will continue investing into sport, youth, and infrastructure, as that is investing in health.

Representatives of the City of Kruševac, Deputy Radojković, Mayor’s Aide for Youth and Sports Nevena Plavšić, representatives of Sports Association of Serbia talked with club representatives and visited their stands. Program was realized by rhythm gymnastics club “Nika”.
