City of Kruševac celebrated National Statehood Day with wreath-laying ceremony at the the Kosovo Heroes’ Monument. On behalf of City of Kruševac, President of City Assembly Dragana Barišić and Deputy Mayor Snežana Radojković took part in the ceremony.
National Statehood Day is a national holiday celebrated on February 15 and 16, in honor of the First Serbian Uprising of 1804, and the first Constitution of the Principality of Serbia adopted in Kragujevac in 1835. Also known as “Sretenje Constitution”. Sretenje is the most important date in the political, cultural, and historical calendar of Serbia.
On that occasion, beside the representatives of the City, wreath-laying ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Rasina Administrative District, Serbian Armed Forces (Kruševac Garrison), Police, Veterans of Freedom Wars Association, Senior Army Reserves, Disabled Army Veteran Association, Circle of Serbian Sisters, Heart of Heroes Movement, Peace Builders, Battle Brotherhood, Freedom Movement of Serbia, Association for nurturing Freedom Fighting Tradition, Serbian Orthodox Army, Army Retiree Association, Retiree Association “Prince Lazar”…
