Mayor Ivan Manojlović held a meeting with the representatives of the Shandong province in China and Institute of Agircultural Economics, Belgrade.
The topic of the meeting was the initiative for a joint project, which was a part of the Formal Memorandum signed between P.R. of China and Republic of Serbia in 2024, and between Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Institute of Agricultural Economics in Belgrade. The meeting was attended by the representative of Shandong Yao Ming, Marko Jeločnik and Mladen Petrović from the Belgrade Institute, and Head of City Hall Administration Vesna Anđelić.
Another topic of the meeting was possible means of cooperation and inclusion of Kruševac, its Faculty of Agriculture, and Institute of Agricultural Economics into the project realization, as well as the needs and capacities for implementing the research in Kruševac.
A conclusion was reached where the Chinese side should send a Letter of Intent with topics, items, and conditions that should be fulfilled clearly stated. After the scrutiny of the document by the representatives of the City, further steps and activities within the cooperation framework will be defined.
After the meeting’s conclusion, Mayor Manojlović and representatives of Shandong and Institute of Agircultural Economics visited the Kruševac Institute for Forage Crops, founded in 1884. The visitors took the opportunity to get familiar with the modus operandi of the Institute and discuss about the possible directions a cooperation could go in with Shandong province.
