As a part of the Liberation Day, October Sports Fair took place, organized by the Sports Association and Sports Center of Kruševac.
The event was formally opened by the Head of City Administration Vesna Anđelić, Mayor’s Aide for Youth and Sports Nevena Plavšić, and Deputy Head of Administration Ivana Pajić.
“Today in Kruševac, we celebrate sports as the engine of health, unity, and success. We are taught important live lessons through sports – team spirit, respect, tenacity, and fair play. This fair is a chance to represent our rich sports offer, affirm the sports club work and motivate our young to step on the court, track, or sports hall.
Thank you all who helped make this event possible, as well as to every participant who represented the best in sport our city has to offer, as healthy youth is the pillar of our future”.
President of the Sports Association of Serbia Davor Štefanek held a speech to the present members of the clubs, coaching staff, and future athletes:
“Today we have a chance to see what Kruševac has to offer in terms of sports. We have all won here today by gathering in this huge number. Sports has won in Kruševac because every child who expresses interest in a discipline here is a winner in my eyes”.
October Sports Fair hosted 27 sports organizations and 15 sports teams (football, volleyball, paintball, kickboxing, taekwondo, basketball, karate, boxing, gymnastics, rugby, underwater sports, handball, table tennis, judo…).
October Sports Fair is an essential part of the Liberation Day of Kruševac. Citizens had the chance to learn more about the various sports and discuss about them with coaches and athletes.
After the official opening, the representatives of the City and Sports Association of Serbia visited the sports stands.
