Minister of Finance Siniša Mali met with the heads of Local Self-governments of Serbia, with the topic at hand being the concrete plans and projects related to the reconstruction and development of city spaces. The meeting was held in the context of the grand project of the reconstruction of ambient wholes around the country as a way to reinforce the tourist offer and prepare for the Expo 2027, announced by President Vučić. The meeting was attended by Mayor Manojlović.
“My message to the citizens of Serbia is that everyone on the local level will benefit from this project. Expo is Serbia, not only Belgrade!” – emphasized Minister Mali.
He highlighted that the goals are reconstruction of buidling fronts, squares, parks, outdoor equipment, lighting, and creation of extra tourist offers, attractive ambient wholes that would attract Expo visitors and show the beauties of our cultural heritage, and raise the quality of life through city modernization.
“Serbia is prepared for new challenges and positive changes”, said Minister Mali.
“We are proud to be a part of the biggest world event in 2027, where we will host 3 or 4 million visitors, many of which whom will visit our Serbia”.
In the following days, we expect conrete suggestion from the Local Selfgovernments, in order to carry out this project as efficently as possible”, concluded Minister of Finance Siniša Mali.
