Today the representatives of the city held a reception for the participants of the International Civilian-Military Course in the Mosaic Hall of the City Hall of Kruševac. The topic was cooperation of the City with the units of the Armed Forces of Serbia. On behalf of the City of Kruševac, reception was held by Deputy Mayor Snežana Radojković and Head of City Administration Vesna Anđelić.
Deputy Mayor welcomed all present instructors and course participants, highlighting the good cooperation between the City, Army of Republic of Serbia, and Ministry of Defense.
The cooperation is realized in variety of ways: not only in joint defense plans forming and offering help and aid to civilians in emergency situations but also in offering support in organizing city events.
“Ministry of Defense along with the Armed Forces of Serbia are a compact and stable pillar of defense”, stated Deputy Radojković, “and we will continue and further develop the cooperation on all levels in the future”.
Frigate Captain Zoran Dukanac, from the Department for Civilian-Military Cooperation, Army Headquarters of Serbia, talked about the course itself: 32 participants from Serbia, Italy, Netherlands, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the United States are taking the two-week long course that consists of theoretical learning and practical application. Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Emergency Situation Sector, Commisariat for Refugees and Migration, Faculty of Political Sciences, and Faculty of Security Studies, among others, have also taken part in the course realization.
For the given support during the realization of the International Civilian-Military Course, Army Headquarters of Serbia handed the Formal Acknowledgement to the City Hall of Kruševac.
The City has been cooperating in the realization of these kinds of event since 2019.
